Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is the heart and soul of Stanford Children’s Health. Nationally ranked and internationally recognized, our 311-bed hospital is devoted entirely to pediatrics and obstetrics. Our six centers of excellence provide comprehensive services and deep expertise in key obstetric and pediatric areas: brain & behavior, cancer, heart, pregnancy & newborn, pulmonary and transplant. We also provide an additional, wide range of services for babies, kids and pregnant moms.

The Radiology Informatics Program Manager oversees the design, deployment, administration and support of the systems utilized for administrative and clinical diagnostic radiology operations and activities, specifically related to PACS with associated workstations, electronic image sharing and archive as well as the processes relative to producing the final radiology report. The Program Manager provides technical expertise for evolving tasks and mentoring/coaching project teams. The Program Manager will participate in and/or lead inter-departmental initiatives within the hospital.

Essential Functions

  • Actively engages in team problem solving and communication (e.g. proactively informs team of potential delays in timeline, independently schedules meetings as needed, etc.).

  • Aligns priorities to meet project timelines and support activities. Drives project phases to ensure alignment with short- and long-term goals. Negotiates appropriate timelines and ensures that they are met; estimates resources required for projects.

  • Champions technology solutions to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contributes to identifying and solving complex administrative and clinical system and process issues. Accurately select methods, detect deviations, and independently resolve complex problems with standardized procedures.

  • Liaises and coordinates with other departments, vendors, partners and other consultants, including negotiations such as timelines, deliverables, expectations, systems, resources, etc.

  • Participates in the development of documentation including Standard Operating Procedures and process guides.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university

Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple form to cross-functional departments or teams.

  • Ability to manage complex projects and resources (people, costs, and time) across multiple departments.

  • Ability to mediate and resolve complex problems and issues.

  • Ability to strategize, plan and implement change.

  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.

  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility.

  • Knowledge of project management process and systems.
