Ambulatory Infusion Center

Department Description:  

The Bass Cancer Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Diseases is a comprehensive patient care area that encompasses both inpatient and outpatient services. The Bass Infusion Center is an 11 bed/chair dynamic and fast paced unit. Providing care to Hematology/Oncology/Stem Cell Transplant/ GI, Immunology and Nephrology patients receive outpatient treatments such as transfusions, chemotherapy, medication and IV hydration. 

The Bass Infusion Center has its own APU, providing procedures with general anesthesia as well as minimal moderate sedation. Hours open: Monday-Friday, 7 – 19:00 and Saturdays 8- 16:30.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred

Experience: Experience in pediatric hematology/oncology and/or PACU experience in pediatric.

License/Certification: Current California RN License, Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS, PALS and APHON chemo administration certification.
