The Intake Coordinator, Rehabilitation Services, works closely with the Supervisors, Case Manager, Clinic Coordinator, and Clinical Assistants to ensure excellent customer service regarding scheduling, registration, and authorization for services, for patients referred to Rehabilitation Services for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology Services.

Essential Functions

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Service Standards of the Hospital(s).

  • Identifies problems in work areas and seeks solutions.

  • Maintains knowledge of appointment scheduling system, and pre-registration and registration system.

  • Maintains knowledge of payer requirements for outpatient authorizations.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Monitors clinical schedule to ensure authorizations are in place at time of visit.

  • Personal conduct supports compliance with LPCH Patient Safety Standards.

  • Provides back up and cross training with front desk staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Experience: One (1) year of progressively responsible and directly related experience

Pay Range

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.

Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Minimum to Midpoint Range (1.0 FTE): $70,865.60 to $80,340.00
