Assists in training and supervising radiologic technology students during the clinical training potions of their programs. Maintains contact with Clinical Programs coordinator and the college representative as needed. Performs Radiology Technologist duties on non-teaching days. Responsible for producing quality images following established departmental and QA protocols using independent judgment and initiative. Performs various radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. This includes transferal of images, archiving and performing of appropriate imaging protocols which meet the departments' standards of quality. May supervise technical and ancillary personnel in assigned work areas/shift in the absence of Lead Technologist and/or supervisor.

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital’s policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.
Acts as Lead or Supervisor in their absence.
Plans, develops and presents 2 film critiques for students per quarter.
Prepares patient for exam, i.e. identifying oneself, explaining procedures, confirming patient ID and checking correctness of the order.
Prepares room and equipment. Troubleshoots equipment failures and reports problems to the appropriate individual.
Produces quality images following established departmental and QA (Quality Assurance) protocols to include technique, views, position, proper labeling and patient ID (Identification).
Trains college students in clinical applications of theory and knowledge, including evaluating students and ensuring that applicable College and department policies and procedures are adhered to by all participants in the program. Works closely with Inpatient Director in regard to student progress and problems. Presents 2 film critiques for the students per quarter. Submits weekly observation/competency forms on students as requested.
Works in a variety of diagnostic areas with knowledge of emergency and after hours procedures as needed.
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: Requirement met by License/Certification Requirement
Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
License/Certification: California State Fluoroscopic Permit (RTF), Certified by the State of California Department of Health Services in Diagnostic Radiology (CRT)

Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and congenital/acquired pathology as they relate to the use and interpretation of ultrasound diagnostic procedures.
Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
Knowledge of Imaging processes and fluoroscopic techniques, methods and equipment.
Knowledge of methods of positioning patients for radiographic and magnetic resonance imaging procedures.
Knowledge of principles of image processing and development applicable to diagnostic imaging.
Knowledge of radiation production, positioning and radiation safety.
Knowledge of safety principles and procedures related to ultrasound procedures and equipment.

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Minimum to Midpoint Range (1.0 FTE): $135,720.00 to $152,245.60
