JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Treasury Operations Analyst is integral to managing a SMCH's financial and treasury operations, ensuring liquidity and financial stability. This role encompasses performing daily cash operations, daily cash flows, monitoring and forecasting cash positions to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational and investment needs, as well as monthly activities, such as bank reconciliations. Additionally, they manage short-term investment strategies, optimizing returns while adhering to risk tolerance and maintaining liquidity. They prepare reports on treasury activities and conduct financial analyses that inform decision-making, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations while assisting with audits through documentation and insights. The Senior Treasury Operations Analyst continuously assesses and enhances treasury processes and technologies for operational efficiency and leads or participates in treasury-related projects, such as process improvements. Through effective stakeholder communication, they provide valuable insights and support related to treasury activities, serving as a crucial link between finance operations and corporate strategies. This position is part of the Controller’s Office team and reports to the Treasury and General Accounting Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.


* Cash Management and Daily Cash Operations: This duty involves performing daily cash operations as needed, overseeing daily cash flows to ensure the company’s liquidity needs are met efficiently. It includes managing incoming and outgoing funds, optimizing cash positions, and forecasting future cash requirements.

 

* Bank Reconciliations: Performing regular bank reconciliations to verify account balances and address discrepancies. This activity ensures the accuracy of financial records and the integrity of transactions.

 

* Financial Reporting and Analysis: Preparing detailed reports on treasury activities and conducting financial analyses provides valuable insights for strategic decision-making, ensuring accuracy and clarity in financial information dissemination.

 

* Issue Resolution: Serve as the escalation point for cash related issues and provide timely resolution. Coordinate issues with external departments as needed for resolution.

 

* Audit Support, and Process Improvement: Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, supporting audits, and leading process improvement initiatives are essential to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within treasury functions. Continuous assessment and enhancement of treasury processes aim to streamline operations, improve accuracy, and reduce risk.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:  Five (5) years of related experience.

License/Certification: N/A

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

These are the observable and measurable attributes and skills required to perform successfully the essential functions of the job and are generally demonstrated through qualifying experience, education or licensure/certification.

* Functional Knowledge: A deep understanding of treasury operations, including cash management, investment strategies, and financial risk management. Proficiency in using treasury software and financial systems for efficient management and reporting. Familiarity with relevant financial regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.

 

* Business Expertise: Ability to analyze financial trends and make informed decisions that support the hospital's financial health.

 

* Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies, optimize cash flows, and manage financial risks. Ability to devise innovative solutions to complex challenges related to liquidity, investments, and operational efficiencies. Skilled in forecasting and strategizing to address potential financial issues before they arise.

 

* Level of Responsibility: High degree of accountability for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial operations.

 

* Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal stakeholders and external partners, such as banking institutions. Ability to collaborate and build relationships across departments to align strategies and ensure cooperative decision-making.

Pay Range
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $53.98 to $71.57
